Exploring New Things
While I was capturing video and photography footage of the local band Neverfound (http://reverbnation.com/neverfound) this week I became so inspired I had to stay up for two days making my first music video. http://youtu.be/kJCrHpBlsyc.
Being part of the Neverfound experience has inspired me in new mediums that I never thought I could do. I would have to say that their music reaches deep inside and creates stories that I feel I must create. It's like having a vision of something and having to get it out before it fades away.
Allison Harvard's music video, "Underwater" inspired the hunting's of the eyes. I also really enjoyed speeding up some of the footage to give it the feel of what of my critics called, "The cocaine feeling." Overall I really enjoyed exploring movie maker and plan to make more videos soon.
Right now my current project is turning my poetry into videos. Jim Morrison recorded his poetry in the studio although not many people heard it and this was what got me thinking about this current project. Adding video footage and a melody behind the poetry creates a powerful creation of both poetry, music, and video.... which I found to be an amazing experience. The poem I am working into my video

Patterns are dancing on the shadows of faces
(wait...)
Smoke this
Let it inhabit your body
WAIT
Hands stretched outward
Feeling the color of the breeze dance through your fingers
WAIT
Take me into this beautiful trip
Hold and pull me down
Into this world of color and haze
Well give me some love and comments :)
